Because of Johnny Depp, Public Enemies received a lot of pre-release buzz, but it seems like a movie without a center. So many stories were going on with so many characters that after a while I started checking out the cool colors on the walls of my local cineplex due to a lack of interest. That kind of wandering story. Even Johnny Depp couldn't save this dog. A very vanilla movie, very forgettable. Look for it on TNT within six months.

Even though I enjoyed the top 3 actors in this movie I was a little bit dissapointed in the films camera work.
I also saw the movie, and although it was pleasant enough it wasn’t quite as compelling as I’d hoped either. It was interesting to see the relationship between Dillinger and Chicago Outfit, for example, and to realize their bookie operations made more money in a day that Dillinger would typically steal in a bank robbery. And they did it day in and day out. Ultimately, though, there was nothing about the movie that you had to see in a movie theater. As Tim says, it no doubt will play just as well on TNT. Maybe even better.
